But it is NOT, nor is it likely to go away any time soon.
Sure, open rates are drifting down a little bit… but if you’re entertaining and educating, then people will still read you.
Here’s a phenomenal image from just a week ago… March 2, 2019 to be exact.
Notice that 4th grade students are USING EMAIL!
I suspect that they’re not getting the kinds of emails you and I would send… but they haven’t stopped using email altogether.
I was so surprised to see so many marks under email… might be #3 in marks on that one list. And remember, these were 9-10 year olds.
So… email is NOT DEAD.
