I have been working with a client who wanted to add an upViral campaign at the end of a Typeform survey.
So I figured out how to add the upViral one-click signup to the end of the Typeform.
Note I believe you have to have the PRO version of Typeform to make this work – that’s the only way I saw in the pricing page to have a custom thank you page.
I also suspect it would work with other tools as well – but they have to be able to create a link at the end of the survey that the user could click AND most importantly, it would have to receive an input field INTO the form (and pass it thru) of the referral ID. This is CRUCIAL! Otherwise, referrers won’t get credit in the ‘viral loop’ and their incentive for sharing kinda goes away.
YOU MUST TEST THIS before implementing! Test ALL of the points and referral credits!
If you prefer the video version of instructions…
Here’s the process flow – the idea here is to replace the typical upViral lead page with the Typeform survey.
Now that you hopefully get the idea, here’s how to create the survey inside Typeform.
Create an EMAIL field
It is simple 🙂
make it REQUIRED
Add other questions
In the thank you page, you put up a message
NOTE: I believe this is a PRO feature ONLY. (note the circle)
You can specify the text of the button
I put in “Submit & Enter Giveaway” so they’d know they’re not only finished with the survey but they’ll be entered in the giveaway
Click to turn on the Redirect
Grab the upViral one-click URL
notice I removed the email template data that came from upViral
Click the “+” to pass in the email
pick the email address field from step 1
This is the result – you’ll see the email getting passed at the end of the URL
Here’s the final screen in Typeform
You can see the button that the user would see on the right.
